Transportation: Located on the western shore of Prince
of Wales Island, Waterfall Resort is 63 air miles west of Ketchikan,
a 40-minute floatplane ride. The travel time between Seattle and
Ketchikan is about 90 minutes. Alaska Airlines is the only carrier
with service to Ketchikan. Floatplanes leave the Ketchikan airport
for the resort at about 12:40 p.m. Alaska Airlines flights from
Ketchikan to all other destinations must be scheduled after 3 p.m.
Airfare from your hometown to and from Ketchikan is not included.
Please consult your local travel agent for available flights. (Link
to Airline Schedule)
Excess Baggage: Most airlines generally allow for two check-in
luggage items at no charge as well as one or two carry-on items.
You may be charged up to $50 a piece for any excess luggage. This
rate will vary by airline and number of excess items and weight.
Group members may "pool" their baggage to determine the number of
pieces. You may want to check the specific baggage regulations and
charges of your particular airline.
Travel Insurance: Optional travel insurance is automatically
added to all reservations but may be declined when deposit is made.
Waterfall highly recommends the insurance as it covers you for cancellations
made for medical reasons and unforeseen circumstances, as well as
trip delays due to weather, baggage loss and medical emergencies
including Medivac. Please call our reservations office for more
details.
