New King of Kings Tournament Bounty
You spoke and we listened. Based on your responses to the Waterfall Resort Guest Satisfaction Survey, we decided it was time to up our game on the annual King of Kings Salmon Tournament. Last year, we added two new contest categories: First-Time Guest King of the Season and 18 Years and Younger King of the Season, with the prizes for both a return trip for one to Waterfall the following season. And this year we’ve switched up the prizes for King of Kings and Silver of the Month....
For the latter contest, whoever catches the largest silver salmon for the month of June, July, or August scores a cash prize of $2,500. And for the King of Kings—the angler who lands the largest king salmon of the entire season—the title lands him or her a cash prize of $10,000.
By longstanding tradition, the Grand Prize remains a new Ford F-150. Everyone who wins a King of the Day title (and the cool corresponding King of the Day hat) has a shot at the truck drawing, which takes place after season’s end. Be sure to purchase your tournament ticket in advance of your trip or at check-in at the General Store.
