FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Fleet Near Complete
We wanted to give you another update on our $3.5 million boat project. The build is complete on another eight new North River Sounders for this coming season, all of them 26-foot cabin cruisers complete with heads—as well as an added special feature: this latest group all have custom-designed, 26-inch-wide doors for easy and convenient side entry.
The doors open toward the deck, affording comfortable access. Additional features include drink holders on the aft transom rail, flush-mount handles on the head doors, and improved defrost and scupper systems—along with flat rear deck space, a fold-down seat mounted to the back cabin, Furuno marine electronics, and fuel-injected outboards: twin 175-hp Mercury engines with 9.9-hp ProKickers.
Scott McKelvey, our operations manager, oversaw progress on the new cruisers throughout fabrication. Our goal remains replacing the entire 27-boat fleet and, with this addition, we’re pleased to say we have just three boats left of our previous design to replace in 2019.
